Arab Cultural Center: Ajyal

Ajyal is a newly formed group of prominent Bay Area Arab and American musicians who share a passion for Arabic music. The Arabic word ajyal means “generations.” The group takes this name to represent its mission of preserving and performing different genres and eras of Arabic listening and dancing music. Ajyal's repertoire includes popular songs, as well as lesser known songs, from different parts of the Arabic world. The group cares about presenting the spirit of the Arabic beat, which shows through their dynamic performances. Also important to the members of Ajyal is to provide education and knowledge about Arabic music and dance to those who seek to know more. Presented with the Arab Cultural Center.
